Bastion Clients

Linux:
All common linux distributions come with ssh clients.
Usage in the terminal:
ssh -l [desyUserId] bastion.desy.de
desyUserId:= Your login name at DESY for example "johnqpublic"

If your login name on your local computer is the same as your desy login you only have to type
ssh bastion.desy.de

Mac:
MacOS X by default is equipped with a ssh client.

Windows:
Windows by default is not equipped with a ssh client, but there are several products from thirdparty vendors.

An advisable free client client is
PUTTY
You don't need to install the whole software, you just have to download the client to your local computer and start it directly

Android:
Android don't come by default with a ssh client, but you will find in the Android Market several offers from thirdparty vendors.

An advisable free client client is
ConnectBot

Apple iPhone & iPad
iPhone and iPad don't come by default with a ssh client, but you will find in the App Store several offers from thirdparty vendors.

An advisable free client client is
Server Auditor

Web based client
Only for the case that you don't have a chance to use a local client we offer this service. Be aware that the terminal emulation is limited, so special character support, esc sequenzes and menu driven software may not work as expected.
